Join us in developing pioneering therapies that aim to transform the treatment of CKD and change patients' lives. Our technology is designed to treat diseased kidneys using a patient's own cells and may prevent or delay dialysis or transplant.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Healthcare Data Scientist to join our team. As a data scientist in the healthcare domain, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and deriving insights from complex healthcare data such as claims data, electronic health records, clinical trials data, manufacturing and autologous cell product data. Your work will directly impact patient outcomes, medical research, and healthcare.

Responsibilities:

Analyze healthcare data to identify trends, patterns, and insights. This includes working with various types of data, such as claims data, electronic health records, clinical trials data, manufacturing and cell product, and health surveys.

Leverage your strong Python programming skills to manipulate, clean, and analyze large datasets. You'll also use tools such as scikit-learn and AWS Sagemaker. When necessary, design and develop custom machine learning solutions for healthcare applications. Collaborate with other data scientists and engineers to address industry-specific challenges.

Train and evaluate machine learning models using Python libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch. Optimize model performance for healthcare use cases.

Prepare data features for analysis and modeling. Extract relevant features from complex healthcare datasets.

Presentation using Visualization/Dashboard tools such as matplotlib, plotly, seaborn, streamlit, and Tableau.

Implement MLOps practices, including model management, deployment, and monitoring1

Interpret data to assess the clinical value of healthcare interventions. This involves evaluating the effectiveness of clinical interventions based on user utilization, outcomes, and return on investment.

Leverage your understanding of healthcare data sources, clinical workflows, and medical terminology. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs), claims data, and clinical trials is essential.

Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinicians, data engineers, and business stakeholders. Effective communication and teamwork are critical for success.

Requirements


A master's or Ph.D. in a relevant field required (e.g., data science, computer science, bioinformatics, epidemiology, or healthcare informatics).
1+ years experience as a Healthcare Data Scientist performing data analysis and modeling.
Proficiency in Python programming for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling.
Experience with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and
Familiarity with SQL for querying databases.
Visualization and dashboarding tools such as matplotlib, seaborn, plotly, dash, streamlit, and Tableau
Knowledge of clinical trials data and research studies.
Understanding of EHRs, claims data, and clinical workflows.
Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare processes.
Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to extract meaningful insights from healthcare data.
MLOps Knowledge: Familiarity with best practices for deploying and managing machine learning models.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.


Preferred Qualifications:


Experience working with real-world evidence (RWE) and patient outcomes data.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and ethical considerations.
Previous exposure to predictions related to healthcare.
Proficiency in Python programming for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling.
Experience with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
Familiarity with SQL for querying databases
Knowledge of clinical trials data and research studies.
Understanding of EHRs, claims data, and clinical workflows.
Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare processes.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to extract meaningful insights from healthcare data.
