Data Scientist (Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning)- Contractor
KPMG Assignment Select is geared toward independent professionals interested in temporary or project-based work. Our team is comprised of highly trained third-party professional individuals who are in the right place, at the right time, with the right skillset.
KPMG is working through its partnership with Magnit and is currently seeking a remote contractor in the United States.
Responsibilities:
Leverage data-driven techniques to design, develop and improve Generative AI models, drawing on expertise in areas such as machine learning, deep learning, and statistics
Ensure that all models and algorithms developed adhere to KPMG standards and best practices and comply with all relevant regulatory and company privacy policies, running testing and validation of the models to ensure accuracy, quality, and generalization of the models on unseen datasets
Conduct comprehensive data analysis and modeling, applying AI / ML and statistical methods to large datasets to effectively harness useful insights and generate creative outputs, build, and maintain robust data pipelines
Collaborate closely with other data scientists, machine learning engineers, and stakeholders to understand the project's objectives and translate these into innovative, data-driven solutions
Use your advanced AI/ML skills to present complex results in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders with different backgrounds, and advising on the best strategies based on the model's findings
Qualifications:
Minimum five years of recent AI/ML experience as a Data Scientist in the production level scalable systems
Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field like computer science, engineering, statistics, mathematics or related field required; advanced degree from an accredited college or university is a strong plus
Background in developing data science projects, handling complex large data sets – unstructured, semi-structured, or structured
Utilizing Python for building high-quality GenAI systems, expert level skills in using Python libraries and frameworks such as NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch / Tensorflow, Llamaindex, and LangChain
Experience in using LLMs, preferably GPT4 and Llama2 LLMs; strong experience on Embedding methods; experience in optimization and fine-tuning LLMs / Embedding and LLM Evals; working experience on Azure Cloud
Possess a creative mind set developing innovative, data-driven solutions with ability to work independently and as a team player; familiarity with fast prototype development

Additionally, applicants may be required to apply and become employed by a service provider utilized by KPMG, and final pay rate(s) and/or eligibility for additional benefits may be determined by such provider.
$70-84 hourly (USD)
